Susan B. Melowsky has been in private practice for over 30 years. She has worked with adolescents, adults, families, couples, and groups providing treatment for a variety of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship and marital issues, family and step-family concerns, behavioral problems, women’s issues, identity issues, and drug and alcohol related problems. Susan utilizes traditional treatment modalities in addition to over 14 years of experience utilizing EMDR as an adjunct to treatment.
Susan was a Phi Kappa Phi graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Social Work degree with Highest Honors. She received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work at the Worden School of Social Work, Our Lady of the Lake University of San Antonio, Texas. Specializing in adolescent medicine, Susan spent several years at the Lincoln Heights Health Center developing and implementing a multi-faceted program serving youth and their families in north central Hamilton County. Continuing in adolescent health, Susan coordinated intake services and served as a clinician providing treatment to hospitalized adolescents and their families at the Jewish Hospital Adolescent Psychiatric Treatment Unit.
Susan is licensed in the State of Ohio, is a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work, and is credentialed through the Academy of Certified Social Workers. She has been a member of the National Association of Social Workers, and is listed in the National Register of Clinical Social Workers.
