Tina Kaminsky

Dr. Tina Kaminsky maintains a general practice of clinical psychology seeing school age children, adolescents, adults and seniors for a variety of problems and issues including adjustment issues, developmental issues, attentional and learning issues, family problems, as well as relationship and identity issues. She is a provider on a number of insurance panels including Medicare. Dr. Kaminsky became board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology in 2003.

Dr. Kaminsky completed her doctorate (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology at Bowling Green State University in Ohio and her pre-doctoral residency at the Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. She came to Cincinnati in 1974 to take a position at Children’s Hospital Medical Center in the Division of Adolescent Medicine. Her responsibilities included direct clinical service to adolescents and their families as well as psychosocial training of medical residents and fellows, and supervision of psychology graduate students. Dr. Kaminsky also completed a postdoctoral residency in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology while on staff at the Children’s Hospital.

After 13 years in the Division of Adolescent Medicine, Dr. Kaminsky began a general private practice, but for many years continued a relationship with Children’s Hospital providing psychological testing services for hospitalized children and adolescents. Dr. Kaminsky also worked in an inpatient adolescent psychiatric unit at the Jewish Hospital, where she had primary responsibility for patient care.

Over the years, Dr. Kaminsky has participated in a number of psychological organizations. She is currently a member of the Cincinnati Academy of Professional Psychology (CAPP), the Ohio Psychological Association (OPA), the American Psychological Association (APA), Cincinnati Society of Child Clinical Psychologists (CSCCP), and the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. Dr. Kaminsky also serves as a Board examiner for candidates applying to become Board Certified (ABPP) in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology.
